Next week we will hold a CORE card drawing for VIP access to our Family Movie Night. One lucky winner will win VIP access to the VIP Lounge for themselves, their family, and two friends along with popcorn, soda, and candy. A second lucky winner will win VIP snacks of soda and candy. Get your CORE cards in! The drawing will be held on Wednesday, March 9. There is a separate container for this drawing in the main office.
Due to a scheduling conflict, Magic: The Gathering Club will not meet this afternoon. Our next meeting will be next Monday, March 14. We will also add another day in April to make up for this missed date. Please see Mrs. Blake if you have any questions.
Whoop, whoop! CONGRATULATIONS to 8th grader David Reck and 7th grader Ren Nelson for both scoring so well in the International Academic Competition Geography Bee that they surpassed the National Competition and advanced automatically to qualify for the INTERNATIONAL IAC competitions being held in July in Vermont this year! Using a buzz-in question format in their respective competitions, David and Ren both showed an incredible knowledge of the world around us, and used logic and contextual clues to answer incredibly difficult questions! These two represented Powell in an upstanding fashion and we are so proud of them. When you get a chance, congratulate both of them on such a great competition!
All Student Council members we will have our next meeting this Wednesday at 9:15 in room 3040. Please make every effort to attend.
Attention 7th grade Volleyball girls!
Please meet in the gym tomorrow, Tuesday immediately after school for Yearbook pictures. We will hand you a uniform top to wear for the picture. Preferably wear some black shorts. See you then.
Tryouts for the Arapahoe HS TOMS dance team will take place next week, March 15-17. All 8th grade dancers who would like to audition should contact Coach Amen as soon as possible for more information.
