2nd place - Jon Thurmond with Engine 3 Green Chili
We're not sure if it was the taste of the chili or all of the smack talk...maybe a little of both, but Mr. Chavers took home 1st place with his Yum Yum Chili.

And a special shout out to Selah Desjardins for bringing in her delicious homemade cookies. This young lady has a promising business venture ahead with Selah's Sweet Treats!

This is just a reminder that SAGA club will me meeting after school from 4:00-5:00pm in room 3063. Hope to see you there.

"The district wrestling tournament was held at Newton Middle School yesterday, and a huge thanks to all the Powel Students that came to support us! We had lots of fans in the stand for an amazing exhibition of courage and dedication from YOUR Puma wrestling team. Unfortunately, our varsity squad came up just four points short and earned second place to a very talented Goddard team. Each and every one of our wrestlers deserves a great round of applause though, as they all battled like warriors to the last moment.

For individual results: Jacob Files, Dylan Comstock, and Sawyer Gostenik finished in 4th place.
Noah Endlich, Eli Seick, and Cooper Matney finished in 3rd place.
Dave Pierce, Alex Diggins, Charlie Turner, Fletcher Farley, Cam Carnes, and Weston Sprague all finished in second place.
Finally, Easton Calvin, Azzo Estes, Jack Forbes, Kaiden Vaughn, and Maddox Mangers are all 2022 Littleton Public Schools District Wrestling Champions.

That means we had 11 different wrestlers competing in the finals last night! It was one heck of a tournament and our team comported themselves with great sportsmanship and furious effort. We are proud of our whole team!"

7th graders listen up. Did you hear about this year's Washington DC trip? Here are some of the highlights that the 8th graders got to see and do? Visiting the pandas at the national zoo, seeing the amazing architecture of the library of congress, experiencing the African American Museum and Holocaust museum. Not to mention taking a dinner cruise up the Potomac that turns into an amazing dance party. The list could go on, the play at the Kennedy Center, the wreath laying at the tomb of the unknowns, and who can forget what Larry and Rick provided to the trip. Pumas, let me take a moment to be real with you. We have a great 6th grade wrestling squad. Each and every athlete competed with pride and great effort and determination. We won six matches last night and only lost three. Winners by points were Grayson Ferrigno, Jackson Harvey, and Blake Matney. Winners by pin were Brooks Harvey, Corbin Weil, and Eli Seik. Coaches Ennis and Sprague are very proud of each and every wrestler on our team. Look out LPS, we have a solid nucleus of beasts for the next TWO seasons. Sixth and seventh graders, will you join us next year? Are you tough enough to step on a wrestling mat?

Congratulations to Powell’s 7th grade girls basketball team for their games against Goddard last night! The A team won 44 to 9! Nearly every Puma scored, with Marley Render recording 5 points, Rene Schell scoring 8 points, and Abbi Meier with 19 POINTS! Way to go!
