Hey Pumas, Fitness Finals is upon us!
Attention PACER Finalists! Remember to make your way down to the gym at 8:45...I repeat 8:45. No sooner, no later!!
See you soon and good luck!
Last night our 8th grade volleyball team played the Euclid Falcons!
Our A team broke Euclid's undefeated record in 3 sets! Even down 6-11, Scarlett Segura served 9 killer serves to get us all the way to the end! The whole team laid it out on the court and took the win by playing smart and not giving up! Amazing job girls!
Our B team ALSO broke Euclid's undefeated record in 3 sets! Even with the low ceilings, the girls were able to play everything! Kalyhea Jordan had great serves that were hard to receive, Abby Ballas played smart all the way around the court, and Payton Fisher took some hard hits but never gave up. Way to show up B team!
Our C team unfortunately had a loss, but played their best games of the season! They were able to be flexible and adjust to coach’s request and played so hard. C team always has a smile on their faces even when things don’t go how they would like. Keep the momentum up ladies!
Reminder for all 3 teams to come find Coach Perry at lunch in 3041 for your rootbeer floats!

Elliot Price and Kendall Helm were on the court leaders with their hustle plays and communication with their teammates. Our B team came up just short as well, losing in 3 sets. Gemma Strouse was a force when serving. Sylvie Peterson was a passing machine with Kanada Hicks and Sarah Martineau hustling for difficult hits. Our C team was dominant, winning in 2 sets and having the best serves of the night! Rebecca Morris made an impressive 8 point run on her serving. Danna Bautista also had two great runs while serving and the team played really well together the entire night. Come support our last home game on the Wednesday after break!
Thank you to all of our puma staff and students for your donations and support of the Pennies for Patients program. Our NJHS students did a great job counting every last coin we received and we were able to raise almost $2,000 to donate to LLS.
Congratulations to Mrs. Donda for the win this year. Kudos to her dedicated students who created a plan for donations and even did their own fundraising to raise money to donate. Mrs. Boehmler's CORE+ came in 2nd place and Mr. Genson's CORE+ came in 3rd.

Last night Powell 8th grade volleyball played the Goddard Vikings.
A team went to three games and fought hard, but unfortunately lost in the third set. Cora Amann and Kalhea Jordan came out with their serves and Josie Winger moved all over the court so the ball did not hit the floor. Great job A team.
B team also went to three games and got their first win of the season! Every single player showed their skills and laid it all out on the court. Lilly Shurtleff was able to serve 14 points and Hailey Diggs was able to get some really tough hits. Congrats on your win.
C team unfortunately lost, but they are showing improvements every game. We saw some great plays from Khloe Ibarra Mojica, Gehna Kanchan, and Syd Crantit. Keep playing strong girls!
We can't wait to see even more improvement throughout the season from all three teams.

Last Thursday, the C Volleyball team played Options Middle School! They played hard and really showed their skills. Khloe Ibarra Mojica never gave up on the ball and Kaitlyn Canas was able to get some really difficult passes to win us some points. Great job ladies!
This is just a reminder that today NPfH and SAGA are hosting a Day of Silence. This is not the national day of silence, which falls during CMAS. This is an opportunity for students to show their support and stand up against bullying, discrimination, and isolation of the LGBTQ+ community. The students who choose to participate should have a sticker. Students: If there is a time when you are required to speak (for example Vision and Hearing testing for 7th grade) you should participate and return to their silence after.

Last night 8th grade volleyball took on the Goddard Vikings!
A team brought home another win in 2 games! Kalhea Jordan really showed up and was attacking the ball like it was nobody’s business and Maddie Pepe stepped up when we needed her most. We can’t wait to see these girls continue to fight the rest of the season!
B team took us to a nail biting 3 games. With Sophie Tober taking every chance to touch the ball and Hailey with some crazy saves to help us rack up points. Unfortunately, we didn’t take the win but the girls fought incredibly hard.
C team walked away with a loss, but they are really showing their stuff. Gehna Kanchan was able to gain us quite a few points with her serves and Sa’Rya Stone’s positive attitude and perseverance really held up the team. Great job C team!
