Attention SAGA members.  SAGA will meet on Monday, April 7th in room 1041.  Come join us for lively conversation and treats!  See you Monday.

Last night, our 8th grade C team played Options! The first set was challenging, but they almost were able to come out with a win in the second set, only losing by 2 points. All of the girls worked hard to adjust and do what they needed to help one another. Wish them luck on their semi finals games next week!

Our 7th grade girls played Newton last night in a fun set of games. Our A team showed great improvement and worked together really well as a team. They lost two close sets versus a very good Newton team. Our B team put on a serving masterclass, successfully getting over 90% of their serves over the net. Isla Robinson led the way with impressive passing and a positive attitude. Tenley Graf also scored 8 individual points in a 3 set loss. Our C team also showed a lot of improvement. Zoe Soderquist and Sannvi Hegde led the way with great communication and passing. Come support us on Monday as we have our last home game against Goddard!

With the change of bell schedule this year from the past, the Fitness Finals for P.E. has been redesigned! As second semester events continue during class, the Top 10 bulletin board will be updated throughout the end of the year. So far the Pacer and Partner Pacer have been completed and our overall winners are as follows:

Hitting the #1 spot for the Individual Pacer goes to Emery Hanson who laid it down with 80 lines, while Merrick Zier killed it with a score of 106 lines Way to go you two!

In the Partner Pacer there are 3 categories, Boys, Girls, and CO-ED pairings. This year’s overall winners are: Hamden Schweid & Emery Hanson with 148 lines, Olivia Simpson & Corbin Weil with 150 lines and Trace Taylor & Merrick Zier with 176! I was surprised when I started to see flames coming out of their shoes! It’s always a good day to see these athletes push to their max!

Due to weather, there will be no Soccer Club tomorrow

Last night, our 8th grade volleyball teams traveled to Newton!

Our A team was challenged in the first set, but came together and fought hard for a win in 3. Kendall Helm had multiple kills that couldn’t be returned and Haley Crozier played defensively all around the court.

B team had 2 really close sets, but unfortunately ended in a loss. Whitney Hester had some really smart plays at the net and great serves. Sami Stephan also had some great digs that helped out the team.

C team won in 2 sets and played one of their best games of the season! All girls are continuing to improve every week. Adaline Kacinski really served it up last night, getting our team a total of 9 points just from her serve alone. Avery Downing also played well at the net, making it difficult for Newton to return the ball.

Great job to all three teams! Semi-finals are coming up next week, we can’t wait to see how you do!!!

We have a special announcement to make! The yearbook is finished! Yeah! It’s done! Your yearbook staff has worked hard to make this book inclusive, unique, and Puma-riffic! We want to thank all of them especially our editors, Thistle Landgren, Adaline Kacinski, Avery Downy, Payton Steepleton, and Sarah Martineau. However, the entire team, even Corbin Weil, has risen to the high level of commitment it takes to make a yearbook.

We have 47 books available for sale. If you haven’t purchased a yearbook, go to Powell’s website or read any PTO newsletter to see how to buy one.
