6th Grade Track! Due to the weather cancellations, we will have 1 makeup track practice. Come to the last track practice of the season on Tuesday next week. Plan on fun water games!
In P.E. we finalized the 20 minute run post test and here are our overall Winners with a capital W!. 6th grade goes to Laine Nix at 9.75 laps and Drezen Frasier at 11.5 laps. Great push you two! 7th grade goes to Emme DeFelice at 9.5 laps and Silas Folk at 13.25 laps. Now that’s flyin’!
Lastly, before these 2 go on to do bigger and greater things, they were leaving it all out there on the track their 8th grade year at Powell. Olivia Simpson took 1st with 10.5 laps while pushing just a bit ahead of Emery Hanson. Merrick Zier not only won the event this year, but set an astounding record with 14 killer laps!
Ms. Bowlen needs Laine Nix & Emme DeFelice to the gym for a quick picture right now!! Thank you!
Qualifying Milers, remember, today is your day to shine and get your best time of the year! After Block 7, head to the locker room to change if needed and then head straight to the track to check in with Ms. Bowlen!
Last night our 8th grade boys volleyball traveled to Mountain Ridge to play them in their final normal season game. Both teams took away wins and were able to have fun doing it. James Martin had some really great serving streaks and all of the boys made it fun with their dance moves on the court. B team also won in 2 sets! Rex Marshall had a 7 serve serving streak and Santiago Grado Caraveo played defensively all around the court. Great job, everyone! Tonight, our A team will be heading to Highlands Ranch high school to play in their end of season tournament, good luck guys!
