We ended the Fitness Finals yesterday with a bang & a great turnout by our 7th graders for the 25 minute run fitness finals.

For the girls, Anna Bridges took the title with 13 laps as she was pushed by Caroline Dimig trailing right behind. Way to push each other girls and way to finish strong!

It really was a race to the finish for the boys until the last 30 seconds when Finn Ahl Hinson took off with his stride from Ben Barbour to win the race and attain a new Powell record of 15.75 laps!

Wonderful job to all our runners and great job pushing each other to excel!
Thanks to all of our amazing athletes who competed with great determination, & motivation, as well as the sportsmanship that was displayed among one another.

The girl's winning drawings will be in the upcoming school year's calendar that is sent out all over the state of Colorado. Congratulations Olivia and Sophie, job well done!

The Partner Pacer finals proved to be another exciting event this season with 2 of our 3 groups attaining a Powell Record and the 8th grade sweeping all 3 categories!
The winning groups had a great push by all their competitors, many of which blew their original scores out of the water!
Congratulations goes to:
Girls: Ava Escorcia and Ava Mitchell with 181 lines and breaking their old record by a whopping 10 lines!
Co-Ed: Abby Harrison & Liam Roby burned rubber and took the school record held since 2014 with 178 lines!
Boys: Jackson Mann and James Lambert burned a path into the floor, beating their qualifying lines by 30 with an amazing 186 lines!
Way to push yourselves runners! We love your determination and hard work!
