Friday the gym floor was taking a beating with the Jump Rope Finals on fire!! Between the 8th-grade boys and girls, we had the greatest turnout in Powell's history of 29 competitors! Leah Danielson took this year's win with an astounding 457 jumps, while Maddox Mangers CRUSHED the 2016 record with an amazing 649 jumps in 3 minutes. Pumas that is insane! Fantastic job and we couldn't be prouder of the effort by all!
We have some 7th-grade, as well as all 6th-grade qualifiers to test, so stay tuned for those results. 6th and 7th-grade jumpers, you will soon receive your updated pass for this week's tutorial.
On a last note about Fitness Finals, this week's finals events have been changed a bit due to the weather:
Plank will still be held as scheduled during CORE+
Partner Mile has been changed to May 19th & in its place, we will finish the 6th and 7th grade Jump Ropers during tutorials this week.
Saturday our 8th grade volleyball teams played in the district tournament!
Overall, every single girl put their all into the games & we couldn’t be more proud.
A team ended in 4th place, B team got 2nd place, and C team brought home the win in the championship game!
All athletes have grown so much this season! Thank you to all who dedicated so much time. Details to our end-of-the-season celebration to come! Great job Pumas!

That is incredible!! A special shout-out goes to Cam Carnes and his presentation of the check to Stefan and his family. Way to go Pumas.
