Wednesday - December 8th

Listen up, generous Pumas! This month’s Sources of Strength Generosity Campaign is sponsoring a toy drive benefiting Children’s Hospital. Donated toys are used to help normalize the hospital experience and make the holiday season, birthdays, and other special events memorable for patients and families.
Toys must be brand new and in their original packaging. Children’s Hospital can not accept toy guns, latex balloons, or food. Infants, toddlers, and adolescents are the age groups in greatest need.
Bring unwrapped toys into the front office anytime between now and Thursday, December 16th. Thank you!

Powell’s next Dining for Dollars is TODAY at the SouthGlenn Parry’s Pizzeria from 5-9 pm. Let your server know that you’re a Powell Puma and Parry’s will donate 20% of your bill back to our school. What’s better than eating delicious pizza for a great cause?

MathCounts will meet today in Ms. Donda's room (3044). We are always looking for new members so feel free to stop by if you are interested. See you there!

The Powell gym was hopping last night with the 8th grade girls Semi Finals!

The A team rocked the court against Euclid heading into the finals to play for 1st against Newton on Saturday. High scoring came from Olivia Soto with 14 points and Alexa LeDuff with 7, while tough, on point defense, was given by Cate Marlin and Macie Miller. Way to go girls...let's bring the championship home!
The B team fought tooth & nail against Newton only to lose in the last 30 seconds by 1 basket. It was a phenomenal team effort with Lorena Johnson & Indiya Bland making some key defensive moves while Sophia Orley worked hard for the ball with many steals driving the ball up the court! Great teamwork girls!
