8th graders,
Arapahoe’s Showcase event will be on Wednesday, Nov 2nd starting at 6:00 pm. All 8th-grade parents and students who are interested in attending Arapahoe High School next fall are invited toattend. Parents and students will have a chance to visit academic classrooms and meet many great teachers, tour our building, and check out the wide variety of activities and athletics.

Attention all 8th grade girls interested in participating in basketball this year. Your season begins tomorrow, October 11. If you are interested in playing basketball at Powell this year, please swing by Mrs. Marshall’s room (3020) to sign up and pick up a practice schedule. Then, meet your coaches after school in the gym tomorrow, ready to play. AND a reminder to all wrestlers: Your season begins tomorrow as well. Show up in the small gym tomorrow, ready to wrestle! AND LAST, listen up all 7th grade girls interested in playing basketball this year at Powell. Your season begins Wednesday, October 12. Please meet your coaches after school in the gym on Tuesday, dressed and ready to play..

6th and 7th graders, are you excited about our upcoming trip to Ireland?! If so, let's get your parents or guardians to the informational meeting on Tuesday, October 11 at 6:30! Make sure to show them the flyer you received in CORE Plus on Wednesday, have them use the link on social media, OR just have them email me. If you are at the meeting AND register for the trip by October 14, you will receive a $200 discount on the trip. Don't miss this one time only offer.

Hey Pumas! Did you hear that there's more Drama at Powell than ever before? (dramatic pause) Well there is more Drama at Powell this year and we want you in it!!! Our first-ever Thespian Troupe is starting next Wednesday after school from 4-5 on the stage. We will meet every Wednesday and you can join ANY time. We will play games, learn improv, and eat cookies!

Attention National Junior Honor Society students:
There is a mandatory lunch meeting today in Mrs. Dondalinger’s room. (3044) Please grab your lunch quickly so we can discuss the Induction ceremony tonight.

Thank you to all students who participated in the staff drawing. Student Council raised $734 for several charities. You will find the winners on several posters placed around the school later today.
