Last night your 8th grade Powell basketball team played Options at home. The energy on the court was unmatched. Andrew Shew carried the team as the top scorer with 11 points. Kaiden Lopez dominated the court with his powerful defense that kept the crowd roaring. After a tough fight, Powell unfortunately lost but is ready to win the next one. Go Pumas!
Are you interested in joining Art Club? We still have a few spots available! We will be meeting 10 times after school starting next Wednesday, January 18. Bring your $30 to Mrs. Jordan or Mrs. Etchells this week so we can order the supplies for your fabulous second-semester projects!
The TSA organization is collecting pop tabs to help the Ronald McDonald house. Last year PowellTSA earned second place statewide for collecting the most pop tabs as part of a community service project. Please save your pop tabs and bring them into school. Give them to a TSA member or deliver them to Room 1210. Thank you for your support!
7th graders the end is near. Ok not really, but hopefully that caught your attention. The end of the early registration window to sign up for next fall's Washington DC is fast approaching. January 30th. Say it with me this time (pause) January 30th is the final day to register for the trip and pay the discounted rate. Chat with your parents and contact Mr. Genson if you have any questions that need to be answered. Otherwise get yourself registered by when? You know it - January 30th.
