Hello 6th graders, 7th graders, and of course 8th graders! It's time for our talent show, it's time for The Follies! If you have a talent that you want to share, please sign up for an audition slot on the back of the stage door. We are looking for group acts, musicians, comedians, dancers, and anyone who has a talent. Last year we had magic acts, singers, dancers, and guitar and piano players. What kind of talent will we showcase this year? Sign up on the back of the stage door to be in our talent show called The Follies! Auditions are on Tuesday, October 24th.
White Cane Safety Day is a national observance in the United States, celebrated on October 15th of each year since 1964. The date is set aside to celebrate the achievements of people who are blind or visually impaired and the important symbol of blindness and a tool of independence, the white cane.
The first meeting of the Magic: The Gathering Club will be next Monday, October 16 after school from 3:40-4:45 in Mrs. Blake's room (1068). All legal decks and experience levels are welcome. Set your deck, determine your strategy, and join us for an afternoon of fun competition!
Your Powell Wrestling team started the season with a strong first showing against a talented squad from Euclid last night. We won 11 bouts and lost 8 in some thrilling matches. Winners last night against Euclid included Brooks and Jackson Harvey, Ryder Wallace, Jack Alexander, Joe Black, Christian Flores, Maddox Carrol, Eli Seick, Kaiden Vaughn, and Marshal Pool. Special thanks to all of the wonderful students that came to support us, we really appreciated your cheers!
