Hey there, Pumas! Let’s fill the gym after school today as our 8th grade girls basketball team hosts Newton. Good luck, ladies!   Last night these girls showed tremendous improvement in their game against Euclid.  Our A team showed composure and continued to fight for rebounds.  Sarah Martineau contributed with 4 points and 3 rebounds while Jadyn Blackwell hustled on both sides of the court.  Our B team secured their first victory!   Big baskets by Kanada Hicks and Nell Stalilonis helped our Pumas take the lead over the Falcons!  This team consistently shows determination and teamwork.  They combined for a season high 27 rebounds!  Great games to both our teams.

The Follies are coming soon, which is Powell’s annual talent show. If you have a talent you would like to showcase you should audition for the Follies. Sign up for an audition slot on the call board on the back of the stage. We are looking for a wide variety of acts such as actors, singers, dancers, comedians, musicians, and other unique talents. We would love to see your talents so gather your friends, have fun, and take the risk! Auditions will be tomorrow after school from 3:40 to 4:45. You must have a time slot to audition so sign up today! We can’t wait to see Powell’s talents.

Please go through the lost and found in the cafeteria before Thursday. Teachers, make sure if you have classroom lost and found that you get it to the cafeteria before Thursday.

7th graders listen up.  Did you hear about the amazing exhibits of the african american museum or the view from the top of the Washington Monument?  How about the theater where Lincoln was assassinated or the home that George Washington lived in?  All of those are items you can experience for yourself on next year’s Washington DC trip.  Come to the cafeteria on November 12th at 6:30 PM to find out the details about the trip and how to register.
