Attention 7th grade boys interested in playing basketball for Powell this year. Make sure your paperwork is turned into the main office, then meet in the gym after school today dressed and ready to play.

Attention 7th and 8th graders! Do you like to play video games? Well you’re in luck. Powell will be starting an eSports Club second semester. An informational meeting will be held in the library on Thursday during lunch for 7th graders who are interested. An 8th grade informational meeting will be held next Monday, December 16. Please contact Mr. Altena or Ms. Boehmler for more information.

TSA members, this is a reminder there is no TSA this Thursday. Next meeting is December 19.

NJHS Students we need your help!  Even if you have your school hours taken care of, we have a plethora of calendars that need wrapping.  See Mrs. Donda with questions and we will see you at lunch!

Who’s CORE+ class is the best?  Let's find out during our Powell Holiday Dental Drive!  Bring unopened dental supplies like toothpaste, toothbrushes and flossers and place them in your CORE+ teachers box all week!  On Friday, the items will be counted and points will be tailed to crown our most generous (or clever) CORE+ Class.  See the posters around the building or our NJHS students for details!

Battle of the Books today in Mrs. Budden’s room. 

D and D is meeting this Wednesday (tomorrow) in Mrs. Budden’s room instead of Thursday.  Grab what you need from the library and then head up to her classroom, 3068 afterwards.  See you there!

An additional shadow day session at Arapahoe HS is set for tomorrow, December 10th from 8:00-10:30 am. Please visit AHS’s website to register.

Good Morning Pumas, I’m Rebecca and I’m the 8th grade choir president, and I’m Tes the 8th grade social committee chairperson. We want to invite you to our winter choir concert Wednesday evening at 6pm in the Powell Cafetorium.  We will be singing all types of music celebrating the holiday season and would love to see you there! Again it’s this Wednesday at 6pm.

PRIDE Leaders - We will be having our second meeting with the sixth graders next Thursday. Please plan to attend the training in Mrs.Blake’s room during lunch today. Check Google Classroom for the details.  Also, it is not too late to volunteer to show off your PRIDE Leader skills by leading family tours at tonight’s Showcase. You need to be back at Powell, with your PRIDE shirt on, at 5:15. Please let Mrs. Blake or Mrs. Nath know if you are interested in helping!

Congratulations to Adaline Kacinski for her award winning “What Freedom Means to Me” essay in this year’s Freedom Essay Contest sponsored by the Littleton Sertoma Club. Adaline’s words have earned her $100 and recognition at the Sertoma Club’s Freedom Week awards banquet in February. Well done, Adaline!

Our awesome Nutrition Services will be hosting a festive sweater day on Friday, December 13th. For this promotion, we are encouraging all students and staff to come eat lunch with us with their most festive, silly, sweater! The school with the highest participation will win a hot chocolate day at lunch the following week. 

Attention NJHS Students: There is an optional lunch session today in Mr. Croan’s room to finish the posters from yesterday.  Also, just a reminder that we need wrapping paper!  Please bring a roll in to Mrs. Donda by Monday of next week.

Attention Powell NJHS Members - Just a reminder that we have an optional meeting at lunch today in Mrs. Donda’s room.  Come help make posters for next week and learn about a really cool college scholarship opportunity.  Bring your lunch.

The next TSA meeting is tomorrow after school in Room 1210. Students will be working on competition events to qualify for early submission events for the state TSA Competition.

Thespian troupe is opened back up to everyone again. If you are competing in ThesCon, you are still rehearsing or even performing at out troupe meetings tomorrow, so be sure you attend. However, those thespians not competing in ThesCon are also welcome to come to our last meetings of the year! See you tomorrow on the stage!

Magic: The Gathering will meet in Mrs. Blake’s room today after school. 

Attention All Middle Schoolers: PLEASE bring your chromebook home and charge it to 100% tonight. This will help immensely as we are testing for iReady math tomorrow. Please do the same for Friday as well.
