Good luck to our 8th grade girls basketball team as the make the short trip to Euclid today. And, THE Powell wrestlers host a rematch against the Goddard Viking today in the main gym. Show up and cheer for our amazing athletes!
Student council will be collecting new school supplies all this week for a school in Uganda. Please help support this effort by bringing new school supplies to your lunch hour. Collection boxes will be located on the stage. For a list of school supplies that are needed, please see the posters around the building.
Congratulations to the 7th grade girls basketball A and B teams for sweeping Euclid at last night’s games. The A team played stifling defense on their way to a 24 to 18 victory. Izzy Lopez led all scoring with 8 points, all in the second half, and the A team held off a late surge by Euclid to seal the win. The B team also used defence to pull out a victory as they held Euclid to 0 points in the first half. Elizabeth Tripeny led all scoring with 10 points as the Pumas won 14 to 9. Come out and support our 7th grade girls for their final game next Tuesday against Newton right after school in the gym!

Wondering where that one jacket you used to wear all the time is? Check Powell’s lost and found locations. If you’ve lost jewelry, a watch, phone or other valuable thing then check in the front office. All other items including clothing, coats and water bottles are in the back of the cafeteria. Any items that are still in lost and found next Wednesday will be donated.
Congratulations to our 6th grade band, 7th grade band, and Jazz band on their phenomenal first concerts of the year! We are very proud of you for all your hard work and musical accomplishments.
