Do you know the story of the princess and the pea? Probably not like we're telling it! The cast of Once Upon a Mattress invites you to come see the musical TONIGHT, Friday, and Saturday! The show begins at 7:00 pm and admission is FREE! Bring money for concessions and support your peers as they put on a wonderful performance of fairytale you won't want to miss!

Attention all Pumas! If you have not purchased a yearbook, bring a check for $45 made payable to Powell Middle School to Ms. Lesan in the office. You don't want to miss out on this opportunity to get a yearbook before they sell out.

Unbelievable, fantastic, tons of fun. These were all words used by the C volleyball girls during and after yesterday's matches. The girls entered the tournament as the lowest seeded team with only 1 win on their record. That didn't stop the girls from coming in with a positive attitude and tons of excitement. Okay maybe they were a little nervous at first, but you couldn't tell by their play. They took the floor against a bumping machine in the form of Newton for their first match. If the girls lost they would be sent home. The girls said no way as they served and passed their way to a victory in 2 games.

After looking good and winning their first match the #1 seeded Euclid Falcons awaited Powell. The first game saw the girls in a 3 - 5 point hole on a couple different occasions. But at the end of the game when they needed it most, the girls found their clutch serves as they won by 3 points. The second game was also back and forth until the girls pushed through to a 20-17 lead. With only 1 point away from victory Euclid took a stand. They got 3 clutch serves in to tie the game. When the girls needed a good pass most they got it. Rianne J walked back to serve with the game on the line and she would not let her team down as the Pumas prevailed by a score of 22-20. Onto the championship game for the girls. Bring on Goddard. Come cheer on the girls Saturday at 1:00 PM here at Powell.
