Attention 8th grade: Next Tuesday, Nov 2nd, is Heritage High School’s Showcase night. The event is from 6-8 pm and is an opportunity to learn about Heritage’s activities, academics, and athletics! It includes a Q & A session with the principal, student tours, and much more.
The 8th-grade girls basketball team came away with 2 wins last night against Newton! Their scrappiness on defense and offensive rebounds kept them alive & kicking.
Alexa LeDuff & Olivia Soto led the first game in scoring while Aniston Hill & Lorana Johnson led for our team in the second game.
Come out Thursday to watch our lady Pumas take on Goddard at home! Way to go girls!!!
Your Powell 7th and 8th Grade Wrestling Team had their first meet of the season last night here against a talented Euclid squad. We had a total of 18 wins and 16 losses, but as this was some of the first true Wrestling matches a lot of our athletes have had, we are super proud of everyone regardless. Standout performances came from Cayden Comstock and Ryan Schmidt, who both won two matches by pin, Ben Barbour who won with the fastest pin of the day, and Brody Mead who won two separate matches against talented opponents. Great job Puma Wrestlers!
