Alright 7th graders it is time to recover from our Thanksgiving break and revisit that Washington DC trip. Pull out your planner - I'll wait. Now write down the Washington DC meeting at 6:00 PM on Wednesday night. Please plan on attending if you would like to get the necessary details of the registration process. If you are unable to attend then stop by Mr. Genson's room (3066) to get the necessary information. We'll see you there.
Attention all chess players. Powell's Chess Club begins after school on Wednesday, November 29. Players of all skill levels are welcome, so come to Mr. Lacey's room, room 1043, on Wednesday for the first chess club meeting of the year.
Also, this year's LPS Chess Tournament will be held at Newton Middle School on Saturday, December 9. Registration information will be delivered at Chess Club, but it is available in the main office as well.
MathCounts will meet this Wednesday, 11/29, after school in Mrs. Donda's room. See you then.
Magic: The Gathering Club will meet today after school from 3:40-4:45 in Mrs. Blake's room (1068). All are welcome. We hope to see you there!
Attention ALL students. It is time for a little friendly competition to see which CORE plus will take home the Dental Drive Championship. We are collecting toothpaste and floss to donate to the Covenant cupboard food pantry. All items will be brought to your CORE Plus teacher to add to their designated collection box. See the flyers around the school or ask your CORE teacher about how many points you can help your class earn by bringing in items. The CORE Plus who has the most points after CORE+ on Friday will earn the championship and a wonderful CORE Plus prize for your class the following week. Dig through those cabinets or add an extra tube of toothpaste to your shopping cart this week to help those in need this holiday season. Will Toland's CORE Plus be repeat champions this year?
