Students - Please remember to check your Access class change for Q4. You will start your new Access THIS Wednesday!

Glee Club is after school today in the choir room!

Student Council will meet tomorrow at 8:30.  All Spirit Assembly participants please meet tomorrow morning at 8:30 in the gym for a run through!  Please don’t be late!

Don’t forget! There is Battle of the Books after school today. We are doing something special today, so don’t miss out!  See you there!

Hey Pumas!  Spirit Week is off to a great start.  We love seeing all the students dressed up as teacher’s today.  Each grade level can also get points for having the cleanest lunchroom today after everyone has eaten.  So show your spirit and clean up the lunchroom.   Tomorrow grab your friends and dress up for an awkward family photo.  Also, please bring items to decorate your table at lunch.  Winners of the table decorating contest will win a prize.  As a bonus, if you attend the 8th grade girls volleyball game tomorrow after school here at Powell,  you will also win your grade level points.  And now here are the winners from yesterday’s anything but a water bottle and the least amount of tardies.  In third place, with 10 points is 8th grade, in second place with 16 points is 7th grade  and in first place with 20 points is 6th grade.  Way to go 6th graders.

Thank you Powell students and staff for all of your donations for the Pennies for Patients drive to support LLS.  We appreciate the friendly competition and some last minute sabotages that came in yesterday afternoon.

Attention 8th grade NJHS Students: Please plan to help finish counting coins at lunch today in Mrs. Donda’s room.  We need to finish our final tally so that we can release the results of this year’s CORE plus winner!

Last night our 8th grade girls played Goddard!

Our A team went to 3 sets and unfortunately ended in a loss, but they fought hard. The girls improved their communication throughout the night and made adjustments where they needed. Hamden Schweid had multiple digs in each set and Delilah Fisbeck had serves that really helped our game.

B team also had a loss last night, but made good progress from the first set to the second. When getting down to having no subs, the girls showed up and played hard, even when they were down. Gemma Strouse and Rebecca Morris showed up when thrown in to set and are really showing their skills!

C team took away their second win of the season! Our serves really helped us throughout the game and they were communicating throughout to make sure everyone knew what their jobs were. Emme Smith had a cumulative 15 points throughout the 3 sets and Delaney Fielding didn’t give up on any ball that came her way.

Great job, girls!
