Friday, Dec 2nd

The next TSA business meeting will be on Wednesday, December 7 at 3:50pm in Room 1210. We will be looking at plans and begin creating projects for events.

Our 8th grade girls basketball teams wrapped up the regular season last night on the road at Euclid Middle School. Our A team had a slow start, but was able to overcome some challenges, keep their composure and come away with another win! If you're keeping track - our A team went undefeated in regular season play and is the number one seed going into next week's district tournament. Cami Jolliff, Zoe Johns and Ellie Engelland showed their versatility as they stepped up to new roles with confidence and great success. Baylie Buckmelter showed composure and grit as she played the majority of the game in foul trouble. Esme Counter and Sami Engelland are two of the toughest defenders you will find in all of LPS. Great game ladies!

Our B team played a tough Combined A/B team and came up 2 points short of a victory. They showed teamwork, hustle and sportsmanship the entire game and deserve a huge congratulations for their performance. Our B team also finished the regular season as the number 1 seed and look to take home the championship next week!

Attention ALL Powell students and staff:
To continue to participate in the Sources of Strength Generosity campaign, we would love to see you take part in some friendly competition next week as part of the NJHS Dental Drive. Help your CORE Plus collect the most toothpaste and floss by bringing in items to your CORE Plus teacher any day next week. Do you think your CORE Plus can bring in more items than Mrs. Donda's?? If your CORE class can collect the most items by next Friday, December 9th, you will earn a prize! So find those unopened toothpastes and flosses and bring them in to help support a local food pantry.
