Congratulations to the 8th Grade Band for their performance of the National Anthem at the Denver Nuggets game last night! The students conquered their nerves and performed the anthem by memory VERY well! Not many students get this opportunity, and our Pumas represented Powell well. Great job, Pumas!
Attention 8th grade girls basketball players! Tomorrow we will have our end of the season celebration during lunch in Mrs. Marshall's room. Mrs. Marshall and Ms. Perry will provide lunch, you just need to bring your washed uniform!
A huge thank you to our Powell students and staff for your generosity and participation in the Dental Drive last week. As a school, we collected 900 items to donate to the Covenant Cupboard Food Pantry. For our CORE Plus competition, our winning class is...Mrs. Toland's CORE Plus! Congratulations - you will receive your prize next week during Wednesday's CORE. Honorable mention goes to Mr. Sadler's CORE plus with a 2nd place finish and Mrs. Donda's CORE Plus with a 3rd place finish. All 3 of these CORE Plus classes collected more than 100 items as a class. Way to go Pumas.
NJHS Members - we need your help! Even if you are done with hours, it is expected that you are attending lunch sessions as you are able to help with our service project. We still have about 400 calendars that need to be wrapped in the next 5 days. See you at lunch today!
