Thank you to all who participated in the canned food drive. Student Council collected over 300 non-perishable food items for a local food bank. You have shown your generosity by helping people who are in need of food during this holiday season. Well done Pumas.
Attention all chess players. Do you think you have the skills to win at chess? Show up for the annual LPS chess tournament at Newton Middle School on Saturday, December 11, and find out. Registration packets are available in the main office, or stop by room 1043 and receive your packet from Mr. Lacey. Registration information is due to Mr. Lacey by Friday, December 3!

Attention sports fans, your Powell 7th, and 8th-grade wrestling team had a great showing at last night's district tournament, but unfortunately, we came up short of our goal to repeat as champions. All the other schools brought solid rosters and it was a very exciting night of combat sport. Finishing in third place in the tournament were Sam Moorhead, Guy Slaybough, and Ethan Choi. Finishing in second place in the tournament were Mason Mitchell, Fletcher Farley, Gio Caranna, and Cayden Comstock. Finally, the
District Champion wrestlers for the 2021 season from Powell are Leyton Reeves, Sawyer Gostenik, Ezra Pescevic, and DJ Woodley. Congratulations to you all on a great season.
