Hello Pumas. This is No Place For Hate’s Racial Awareness Week. I am Sannvi from No Place for Hate and we want to raise awareness of people with different races and backgrounds.

Today we are talking about diversity which means a wide range of human differences within a group, organization, or society. This can include differences in race, ethnicity, gender, religion, and more. A truly diverse environment respects and values these differences, creating a culture of inclusion where individuals from all backgrounds are recognized, respected, and given equal opportunities.

Thank you for listening to our announcement and remember that you matter

Unified basketball is here! Please turn in your pink parent permission forms and yellow emergency contact cards to the envelope on Massie's door, 1041 this morning!
We look forward to having our FIRST practice during tutorials today! Meet in Massie's room is you were claimed. 1041. We look forward to seeing you there!

The gym last night was electric during our 8th Grade Boys A team basketball game against our rivals from Newton Middle School! After 3 hard-fought quarters, we needed a 4th quarter comeback and Merrick Franks and Jacob Laderer stepped up to lead the Pumas to a 38-36 victory. Merrick scored 8 of his 14 points in the 4th quarter! The team effort behind rebounds and steals was key to the Pumas keeping this game close. Our next two games are on the road, but we hope you come out to our last regular season home game on Monday, February 5th.

Our B team also found themselves behind in the 4th quarter and started their own comeback led by Cayden Whitney, Kaiden Vaughn and Matthew Reynolds. Unfortunately our Pumas came up a little short this time, but we look forward to our rematch next week! Marshall Pool grabbed 5 rebounds and Caleb Tritz led the team in steals.

You might be wondering if our C team needed a 4th quarter comeback last night as well. That was the theme of the evening for all our teams! Gabe Mendoza led this comeback scoring 9 of his 19 points during the 4th quarter. He had a huge game! Henry Smith and Caleb Wright also added important baskets that quarter, but we came up just 4 points short at the buzzer.

It was a great night of basketball for all our teams! We have some pretty amazing Pumas!
