Hello Pumas. This is No Place For Hate’s Racial Awareness Week. I am Peyton from No Place for Hate and we want to raise awareness of people with different races and backgrounds.
Today we are talking about Intersectionality (Inter-sec-tion-ality) It is the interconnected nature of social categories such as race, class, and gender as they apply to a given individual or group. Some people may have overlapping forms of discrimination or disadvantages. People may experience discrimination through their identities including multiple forms of discrimination at the same time. No matter your identity everyone is the same on the inside no matter what you look like. We are all people and should be treated equally.
Thank you for listening to our announcement and remember that you matter.
